Privacy
Hird is a contacts app. Your contacts are personal, so the rule is simple: they are yours, they stay in your account, and we use them only to run the app for you.
What Hird stores
- Your account: the name and email address Sign in with Apple or Google gives us. With Apple you can hide your real address.
- The contacts you choose to sync: names, phone numbers, email addresses, companies, titles, cities, and where each detail came from.
- What you add yourself: notes, tags, keep / later / ignore choices, and follow-up reminders.
- If you connect Google, the contacts in that Google account. If you upload a LinkedIn export, the connections in it.
What Hird does not do
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
- We never contact the people in your contacts. Hird only opens Mail, Messages or WhatsApp with a draft when you ask it to, and you send it yourself.
- We don't combine your contacts with anyone else's. Each account sees only its own people.
Where it lives
- Data is stored in a Postgres database run by Neon and served by Vercel, both in the United States. It is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- AI features send the text they need (for example a note you dictated) to Anthropic to process. Anthropic does not train its models on this data.
- Company details are looked up from the public website behind an email domain. Only the domain is used for that lookup.
Your control
- You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or by writing to us. Deleting your account removes your people, notes and sources; backups roll off within 30 days.
- Hird is not meant for children under 16.
